A Closer Look To The Gastric
Sleeve Surgery Experience
The Gastric sleeve surgery, or sleeve gastrectomy, involves the following steps
#1 - Anesthesia
Based on your specific needs, the doctor and our anesthesiologist will set you up for a successful surgery.
#2 - Laparoscopic approach
Small incisions are made in the abdominal area to perform the surgery, making the scars barely visible and so small they fade over time.
#3 - Stomach Reduction
A large portion of the stomach (70 to 80%) is removed, leaving a considerably reduced-size stomach in the shape of a sleeve.
#4 - Staple line Creation
The remaining part of the stomach will be sealed shut through tiny surgical stapling. Leak tests will be performed while and after surgery to confirm it's effectiveness.
#5 - Incision Closure
The incisions are closed with dissolvable stitches (they will be absorbed by the body over time) and a temporary drain will be placed to prevent fluid buildup, to be removed after the second day of your stay.
The surgery usually takes between 45 minutes and an hour, and patients typically stay in the hospital for one to two days following the procedure.

3. Schedule your Surgery
We will help you coordinate your surgery depending on your availability and also forward traveling instructions to make your travel in Mexico a great experience.
4. Surgical Date Confirmation
We don't require any kind of deposit, the only thing we would require would be your flight itinerary to confirm you are moving forward, we can also assist you setting up your flight accomodations for you just to make the purchase!
5. Pre-Op Diet Calls
After your surgical date is confirmed, we will contact you to set you up with your diet, we will tell you all the what to do's and the what not's to set you up for success.
6. Airport Pickup
Around a week prior to your surgical date, we will coordinate with you, based on your flight accomodations, we will also be in constant contact with you the day before and the day of your arrival.
7. Surgery Day
You will meet with Dr. Mario Arredondo who will personally explain each step of your surgery and walk you through the benefits, recovery, and care of your procedure.
8. Recovery
